Roxane Lee, (she/her), a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music, has been a dedicated piano teacher for over 20 years, specializing in piano and theory instruction. In 2020, she achieved Permanent Professional Certification from the Music Teachers' National Association. Since 2010, Ms. Lee has been providing private piano instruction to students with special needs, reflecting her commitment to inclusive education. With over 25 years of piano playing experience, she has performed as a soloist, accompanist, and ensemble member. Ms. Lee holds Master's degrees from both Penn State and Georgetown University and is also a certified Musikgarten teacher. Alongside her teaching, she performs as a guest pianist at churches in Bridgewater and New Milford. In April 2009, Roxane received a Teacher Enrichment Grant from the Music Teachers' National Association, and in 2007, she was awarded the Gloria Estefan Scholarship by Berklee Music. Additionally, Ms. Lee possesses a Specialist Certificate in Music Theory from Berklee and studied piano under the guidance of Anne Vanko Liva and Louis J. Williford.
Ms. Lee served on the board of the Connecticut State Music Teachers' Association from 2006-2014 and chaired the Danbury National Guild of Piano Teachers audition center from 2007-2010. She was also the Co-President of the Western Chapter of the Connecticut State Music Teachers' Association, affiliated with the MTNA from 2009-2010. From 2008-2010, Ms. Lee was the Webmaster and Membership Chair for this organization. In 2008, she presented a teacher workshop for the WCMTA and founded the pedagogy discussion group. Since 2019, she has been the membership chair for the WCMTA. As the Music Coordinator for the Moms Club of New Milford from 2007-2012, Ms. Lee provided free group music classes for the children of its members. A MusicLink teacher from 2011-2013, she has also offered scholarships based on financial need. Furthermore, she has been involved with the Board of Advisors for Artistry Alliance since 2008. In 2013, she joined the Board of the Schubert Club of Fairfield County as Corresponding Secretary, a role she held until 2024. Since 2014, she has served as a judge for the Young Musicians' Festival. In 2020, Ms. Lee co-founded the charity Masks for New Milford with her daughter, providing free cloth masks for charities that support the underprivileged. Together, they have sewn and donated over 1000 masks.
