2025-26 Studio Calendar

There are 3 additional weeks of teacher's cancellations that will  also be used during the school year in the case of the teacher's illness  or emergencies.  The last day of lessons will be adjusted for any  unused teacher's cancellations.  Additional events from local music  teachers' groups will be added as information becomes available.

August 25, 2025  First day of lessons for 2025-26 school year.

September 1, 2025 Labor Day, Studio closed.

September 18, 2025, Thursday Studio closed. 

September 24, 2025  Wednesday.  Studio closed starting  3 p. m.  Revised 9/14/25 Teacher's cancellation #1 for Wednesday students P. M. only

October 13-15, 2025 Monday-Wednesday Studio closed

October 27-31, 2025 Halloween Week. Wear a costume to your lesson and get a Halloween treat!

November 4, 2025  No Wednesday morning lessons. Revised 11/4/25.  Teacher's Cancellation #1 for Wednesday A. M. students. 

November  23, 2025  2:30 p. m. 15th Annual Benefit Concert for the New Milford  Food Bank, Valley Presbyterian Church, 21 W. Whisconier Rd., Brookfield,  CT.  Audience members must be at least 5 years old.  Please bring a  non-perishable food donation for the New Milford food bank. 

November 24-November 28, 2025  Monday (1st teacher's cancellation for Monday students. Revised 11/2/25) Tuesday– Friday, Thanksgiving Recess.

Dec. 4, 2025 Thursday lessons from 5:00-6:30 p. m. are rescheduled to Saturday Dec. 6 from 3:00 p. m. 4:30 p. m. Revised 11/7/25 and 12/2/25

Dec. 14, 2025  Community Service Concert, Cancelled due to COVID. 2:30 p. m., Village Crest, 19 Poplar St. New Milford, CT. Date to be confirmed on 12/12/25. Revised 12/12/25

December 22, 2025 - Jan. 2, 2026 Monday-Friday,  Holiday Break.

Jan. 7, 2026, Wednesday  Studio closed. Revised 1/6/26.  Corrected the date to 1/7/2026. 

Jan. 19, 2026  Monday, Studio closed. Martin Luther King Day Revised 1/2/26, Changed 1/21/26 holiday to 1/7/26 and 1/20/26 holiday to Feb. 17, 2026. 

Jan. 26, 2026, Monday, Studio closed due to inclement weather. Teacher's cancellation #2 for Monday students. Revised 1/26/26. 

January 30, 2026, Friday, Studio Closed.  Teacher's cancellation #1 for Friday students. Revised 1/29/26.

February 17, and 19-20, 2026 Studio closed.  Chinese New Year Revised 1/2/26. Add 2/17 holiday to replace the 1/20/26 holiday that was cancelled. 

February 23, 2026 Studio closed due to blizzard. Revised 2/23/26 3/3 teacher's cancellation for Monday students. 

March 3, 2026 Tuesday Studio closed due to inclement weather. Revised 3/3/26  1/3 Teacher's cancellations for Tuesday students.

April 30, 2026 Registration for current students opens for summer 2026 and 2026-27 school year.

May 9, 2026 Ensemble rehearsal 10 a. m -1 p. m. at the studio. Revised 2/15/26

May 9, 2026 Royal Conservatory Theory Assessments, New Haven, CT

May  17, 2026  Sunday, 2:30 p. m., Spring Piano Extravaganza and Awards  Ceremony, Audience members must be at least 5 years old. Valley  Presbyterian Church, 21 West Whisconier Rd., Brookfield, CT.  1:00-2:00  p. m. Final rehearsal for ensembles at Valley  Presbyterian. Revised 2/7/26

May 18-22, 2026, Monday-Friday,  Studio closed. 

May  25, 2026 Registration deadline for current students for the 2025-26  school year and summer lessons. Register by this date to reserve a spot  in my teaching schedule for summer or the school year. 

May 31, 2026  Royal Conservatory Piano Assessments, New Haven, CT

May 31, 2026 Registration opens for new students for summer 2026 and the 2026-27 school year.
